When Blue moves to a sleepy rural city hiding from a past she wishes she could forget, she wants to focus on one thing. Music. So, trombone in hand, she joins Buchanan Preparatory School's infamous marching band, known only for playing worse than the football team, which is a feat in itself. She never imagined though, that things would get so complicated. She is bombarded by attention from boys of all types and social ranking, but must ultimately defy them all in order to keep her secret safe. But when she does finally open up her guarded, broken heart, she finds out that sometimes your past isn't important. And sometimes, it is.

Over and over again, she switched schools, only because every clique preyed upon her. Having skateboarding and music, being her only escape from society. Jayden Evans, the school's most popular "bad boy". Well known because of his dating past and smashing qualities. Well for him, secrecy lies behind his whole life. The beanies, the jawline, everything isn't perceived. Passing through the hallways, blue painted lockers, they ran into each other. .. and the story awaits.
