Bashir Bala had been an unemployed graduate with a first class degree in one of the most resourceful fields of learning. This made him feel dishonoured and almost believe in the mythical sayings "That schooling is worthless to the poor". Thus he is wasted. Until when Mr. Makarfi came into his life, and everything changed; in which the latter is dreadfully looking for the likes of Bashir.

The Overcomers is a story which depicts the fruitful result of patience, hardworking, determination and perseverance in every aspect of life. It is a story that touches almost everything, including: teachers' character; careers; hardship and upgrading one's life from the barrier holds them back to something even better.

And another point, it defines how hard work encourages, motivates and moulds everyone to OVERCOME their fears, the obstacles hindering them from reaching out their best version and to unlock their non-stop potentialities.

Donnah was tired of feeling like a failure. Broke, lonely, and stuck in a cycle of dead-end jobs, she watched from the sidelines as her peers thrived. Her love life was no better-her ex, Jeffrey, had ignored her calls for months, only to marry someone else. Yet, he still had the audacity to call her for a "catch-up." The pressure from home was suffocating-where was her degree, her success, her man? But Donnah had nothing to show. Bills piled up, and self-doubt crept in, but one thing was certain: she couldn't stay like this. No more waiting. No more hoping. She was done being overlooked. Done settling. That night, she made a choice. She would become the woman people envied-the one with confidence, money, and options. And no one, not even a man like Jeffrey, would ever make her feel unworthy again.
