Beyond The Veil

Lucian Byre is a well known detective all over Europe . During one of his mission he finds out about the dark filthy secret that the government commits behind the bars. The government frames him as a potential threat to their "secrets" and decides to get rid of him. Lucian betrays the government and exposes the truth about their politics.
After the expose there was a huge mass uprise causing havoc in entire European countries. The government puts up a huge bounty on his head and appoints assassins to hunt him down
Lucian somehow manages to escape the place and ends up in an island far away from his homeland
But not for long he finds out that the island has some hidden mysteries alongside the behaviour of the residents
What could they be? Is he safe? Or is he trapped?
