The Imaginary Best Friend.

'"Once upon a time, years before you ever existed...A lonely little girl, no more than four, desperately wanted to have a best friend to call her own. She moved so much that making friends was hard, so she decided to made one using her imagination." I said the word long and slowly to get my point across. "Of course, her friend needed a name first. The little girl thought long and hard, then suddenly the name 'Elliot' came to mind."

"Elliot?" Amber interrupted again, "Sure sounds allot like your name, sis."

"Yes, the little girl was absolutely horrible when it came to names, remembering them or other wise." I state monotonically, opening up to the first page in the dusky old color book.

"Wait...this is a story about you? So what you're saying is that you, my sister who shows no creative what's-so-ever, has an imaginary friend?" She muffled a laugh into her hands, I looked her dead in the eyes and she soon frozen.

"Sure," I shrug as if it was no big deal, "Hasn't everyone at some point?"'
