Emmaline H. Jones thought she was a regular 16 year old in the Sutran Empire. A place where magic is a focal point of society, and the only thing that was considered truly shun-worthy was having no magical ability. Unfortunately, Emmaline has no idea how to use her magic, or if she even has any true magic. The only thing she is completely sure about is her telepathy. On top of that she has a bitchy stepsister, a jackass of a stepfather, and a conflicted mother. She begins attending White Light Academy with Ashley Haeward, someone she's known since childhood. Too bad White Light Academy wasn't the right choice as she accidently causes slight mayhem on her first day, and she meets four dangerous women as well. Things only escalate from there...
Another thing that pops up is that Emmaline may in fact be a witch. Witches were supposed to be eradicated, but that may not be the case. Now she must go on a journey of upheaval, rebellion, revelations, tricks, carnage, bloodshed, and heartbreak with four strangers and Sebastian Mara, her other close childhood friend.
Will Emmaline be used, or will she be killed by the forces of "good" or "evil"? Only, Emmaline can be the jury, judge, and executioner of that decision...
