Amanda Grey was from Phoenix, Arizona. She was diagnosed with cancer in grade 2. Amanda loved school, she was one of the smartest students in her grade. All she wanted was to become a doctor. When Amanda found out that she had lung cancer, her heart dropped. Her and her family cried all night long. Amanda knew that her sister, Arie Grey died just a year ago with the same cancer. Arie was 15 was she died, Amanda was 7 at the time of Arie's death. Amanda barely understood what was going on, she stood in the hospital room, listening to the doctors tell the news about Arie's recent surgery, also known as, "The Death Surgery. "
