Evan and Tyler have been best friends since childhood, their friendship forming from the mutual need to survive high school as openly gay teens in a town where being different is still met with hostility. Though they couldn't be more different-Tyler all chaos and jokes, Evan all control and calm-they are inseparable, feeding off each other's energy.

Things take a darker turn when a series of unsettling events begin happening at their high school: anonymous text messages, strange pranks, and mysterious threats. At first, Tyler brushes it off, making light of the situation. But Evan is intrigued, fascinated by the idea that someone is manipulating the school from behind the scenes. As the pranks escalate, Evan sees it as an opportunity to get in on the game. He convinces Tyler to help him pull off their own twisted schemes, manipulating their classmates and pushing boundaries they shouldn't cross.
