Valerie Vasquez and Elena Espinosa had been best friends since grade school. The two were inseparable, and although they were very different, they had one thing in common- their love for fashion. Now in the city of Los Angeles, they strive towards their mutual dream.
Growing up as the ugly duckling took a huge toll on Valerie's self esteem, whilst Elena had always been perfect, she was the girl everyone either wanted to be or be with. Valerie did everything she could to claw her way up the social hierarchy. Finally finding her place amidst the crowd, she fell into a group of unruly friends who introduced her to a life of drugs, sex, and crime. What was supposed to be a one time thing, turned into an addiction, something she depended on. Elena was eventually pushed away, fearful of the person her best friend was becoming.
As Valerie's life entered a downward spiral, Elena could only watch from afar as her former friend completely lost all sense of who she once was. It wasn't until Elena finally offered her aid, Valerie was able to heal.
Years later, the two were able to leave everything behind to pursue their dream. Valerie swore long ago that she'd suppress her feelings for Elena, in fear of losing the woman she loved. But, old habits die hard when people and problems from the past arise. Now challenged with the reality of adulthood, adversaries, her self-image, and the feeling that Elena is slowly drifting away, Valerie struggles to find control amidst the turmoil.
As her mental health slowly deteriorates, she can only find comfort in her old habits. Still, nothing can silence the voice in her head telling her to be completely, utterly perfect.

EXTREMELY LOOSELY based off of personal events and real people. This is an original story, I own all characters and storylines.
"What are we doing Alex?" He breathes against my lips.
That's too sensible of a question, so I ignore it. My brain has yet to return to my body, and right now that is the last thing I'm worried about.
"Stay." I whisper against his mouth, my words flowing without any thought.
"Stay?" He sits up fully, which results in me straddling him. His expression is full of curiosity and mild shock. "Like stay stay?"
I don't respond with words. I'm afraid if I open my mouth, I'll start to overthink and I can't afford that. Instead, I pull my shirt over my head. I do it confidently, in spite of my boldness starting to dissipate as the seconds pass.
Ryan swallows. His eyes trail down to my breasts, before he looks at me again with a look I can't name.
"Are you sure?" He stares into me. "Promise me you're sure."
"I'm sure." I tell him softly. "I promise."

ALEXANDRA MONET is a twenty two year old girl, freshly out of college. After landing her dream job working for top fashion designer Adrienne Walker, she moves from a small town in Florida, to the boisterous city of New York.
Since before she moved, Alex mapped out a clear plan for the direction of her life. None of which could prepare her for RYAN RUSSO...the snarky, sarcastic boy who she'll soon find herself thinking about constantly.
As much as the two think they can't stand each other, there's an underlying attraction that eventually grows too strong for either them to bare.
So they make an agreement...
An agreement that is supposed to be void of any and all feelings, but over time it becomes a lot harder than expected.
It's supposed to mean nothing. Less than nothing, but unfortunately some things just don't go as planned.
