Amit Jain is an Indian entrepreneur and investor, best known for being a judge on the Indian reality show Shark Tank. He is the co-founder and CEO of CarDekho, one of India's top online car portals. Amit graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) with a degree in computer science.
Before starting his business journey, Amit worked for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a Software Engineer for a year. After that, he spent nearly seven years at Trilogy, a US-based multinational company. In 2007, Amit and his brother Anurag Jain co-founded GirnarSoft, a technology firm.
