In a world where reality blurs with the ethereal, Eidolon: Zones of Danger invites readers into a thrilling adventure of survival, intrigue, and self-discovery. When an enigmatic fog engulfs the town of Bent Creek, it awakens forgotten fears and desires, drawing in those who are both curious and desperate.

At the heart of the story is Elias, a reluctant guardian of the fog, who must navigate the treacherous boundaries between life and death. As he confronts his past and the haunting memories of those who came before him, he discovers that the fog serves as a gateway to deeper truths-both about the town and himself.

As unsuspecting visitors venture into Bent Creek, each carries their own secrets, desires, and darkness. The fog, ever-watchful, recognizes those with troubled souls and draws them into its embrace. But not all who enter will find what they seek; some may be consumed, while others might uncover the strength to face their demons.

Eidolon: Zones of Danger explores themes of fear, acceptance, and the intricate dance between light and shadow. With atmospheric prose and a gripping narrative, this story challenges the notion of good and evil, urging readers to question what lies beneath the surface. Will Elias embrace his destiny as the guardian of the fog, or will the weight of the past prove too heavy to bear?

Join Elias in this haunting journey where every choice leads to uncharted realms, and the fog reveals more than just danger-it unveils the hidden truths of the heart.

❅| "Even a vastness can no longer shelter you... or engulf your dream." ⊱⋅ ──────────── ⋅⊰ [UNDER EDITING/REDRAFTING - latest chapter: 8] To a world seemingly shrouded in a cloak of safety and eternal peace, death is an unimaginable concept. Yet for those whose rule of life was mere survival, perhaps that's a different situation. For those who stood in the face of adversity, for those who refused to give in to the castigation of their lives, life has no sweetness to it. Merely the bitter tang of a blood-chilling revenge. To avenge a loved one or perhaps even their own pain, the murderous intent behind their deceitful eyes is unmistakable. For to them, lamenting about the past is a life lost to the cruel hands of fate. What happens when a woman as brilliant as the morning sun provides a haven in one's dreams? What happens when she, despite the agonies life carried, says to abandon everything right here and now and leave? Alcestis did not need to be told twice. Seizing the chance to escape the horrible clutches of her grandparents, she sets out on a journey to find the Elementals - a band of heroes protecting the human realm from those that lied beyond, headed by her parents. She knew of the darkness that festered within her; she knew of the hatred that danced in her heart. More than anything, she knew the extents of how fragmented her soul was. What, perhaps, would unfold when she sets out on her journey, leaving behind the world she knew; leaving behind what hopefulness remained in her battered heart? None would heed her an answer, indeed. None save for the rage that tainted her being.

A land of shadows, of mystery, of obfuscated Truth. Welcome to the Greylands, that strange world, within the bounds of Time, peopled by mortal men. We cannot see truly, only as through a glass, darkly. There are things that move and have their being completely beyond our ability to perceive them. There are things beyond our mortal ability to comprehend. There are hints and glimmers hidden within the body of revealed Truth, but there is much we do not know, cannot yet understand, and could never dare dream. These stories are mere fancy, with a seed of Truth at their core. They play with the ideas of mortality and Eternity, Time and things beyond it, and of course the epic battle of Good against Evil. Each stands alone, and though there are common themes, threads, names, and concepts, each story is an entity unto itself and should not be seen as occurring in the same world or mistaken for installments of a series. These are random musings, not Gospel Truth, and should not be taken as such. Joy, hope, and encouragement are hopefully a byproduct, but certainly not sound Theology. If you would know more of the true world beyond these Greylands, one must be a careful student of the Scriptures, not of silly stories such as these. While still fairytales, these stories are set in modern surroundings rather than the land of Faerie! Each story is unique unto itself, and doesn't reference any other story, world or character elsewhere.

Centuries after the Fall, the United States has been wiped away. The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. As attacks on the community grow harsher and more frequent, however, even the steadfast Blessed are forced to start preparing for the worst. With her home's very existence threatened, seventeen year old Ever Oaks, a Saint with the power to heal, is forced to make a difficult choice, one that may come to define her people's future... Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." When I'm asked about it, I often describe it as "X-Men meets The Walking Dead." In addition to reading it here for free, you can buy Exile in e-book or paperback on Amazon.com.

Eve's first breath after death was cold, unfamiliar. She woke on a steel slab in a shadowy morgue, greeted by the detached gaze of Elias, one of the enigmatic twins who commanded the space. She wasn't supposed to be here, yet the quiet smile on Elias' face suggested otherwise. The town outside whispered of dark curses and vengeful spirits, and Eve soon learned that death here was just the beginning. Bound to the twins by fate, Eve finds herself caught between life and death, hunted by a malevolent force only known as "It." He's been waiting for her, his offer clear-join him in the abyss for eternity, or watch as he unleashes unspeakable horrors upon the town. As the dead rise and the cursed town spirals into chaos, Eve must navigate this chilling world where love, betrayal, and terror intertwine. When Elias first found her on the cold slab, she pleaded for the truth. "Where am I?" "Where all the lost souls come." "I'm not dead." "That's what they all say... right before they realize they are."
