TL; DR: Kazuha and Kunikuzushi sing some songs, accidentally fall in love and leave each other to become idols (with a dash of miscommunication). One is incredibly famous and the other just debuted, but by sheer luck (matchmakers), they're brought back together for a chance at redemption.
Or, for a longer version:
Two men, who are complete opposites, even in their appearance, happen upon each other and develop a close bond through their shared interest of music, promising to never leave each other But when Kunikuzushi received an offer of going to Sumeru to carry out his dream career of being an idol, he immediately set off on a plane, forgetting to tell Kazuha. This devastates the man, who is left in Inazuma, having been abandoned by the friend whom he thought was going to stay.
However, after many twists and turns in their story, they somehow end up in the same room as each other, once again. This then opens up two paths: reconciliation, or... heartbreak.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 | 𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐚
This book was inspired by a super talented AU writer I found on TikTok. Their stories are seriously swoon-worthy - they'll hook you right from the start! If you're as obsessed with Kazuscara as I am, you have to check out their account: @rk1velai! He hated Kazuha. That was all he could say-the simple truth that twisted inside him every time Kazuha's name came up. Kazuha-the top of the class, the star in every room, the one everyone admired and loved. Effortlessly perfect, like a shining light that drew people in without even trying. And Scaramouche? He was always second. Always just behind, watching from the shadows, fighting against the invisible line that kept him from being first, from being seen the way Kazuha was. He hated everything about him-the ease with which Kazuha excelled, the way his smile seemed to disarm even the coldest hearts. Resentment settled deep in Scaramouche's chest, mingling with envy and a bitterness he refused to admit even to himself. But beneath the edge of hate, beneath the layers of resentment, something else was quietly stirring-a complicated, fragile feeling that unsettled him more than anything else. It was confusing, a quiet ache that he couldn't shake no matter how hard he tried-a feeling he couldn't ignore or understand. He pushed it down. Denied it every chance he got. Pretended it didn't exist. Tried to bury it beneath insults and coldness. Yet no matter how hard he fought, that feeling lingered-growing stronger, impossible to ignore. Because those feelings never truly left. Because what if- What if the person you thought you hated was the one you'd loved from the very start? Their story wasn't perfect. It was tense, awkward, painful. But sometimes love is there from the very beginning, even when we don't see it ourselves. And this is where it all began. "𝓙𝓾𝓼𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓸𝓯 𝔂𝓸𝓾. [UNBREAKABLE BONDS] (Yeonjun X Beomgyu)
Yeonjun and Beomgyu, stepbrothers with a significant age gap, have lived different lives from the start. Yeonjun, the elder son, is rebellious and cold-hearted, earning himself a notorious reputation as the "bad boy" of his college also in his house or wherever he goes. He carries a deep resentment towards his younger stepbrother, Beomgyu, whom he sees as a weak and unwanted addition to his life. Beomgyu, on the other hand, is soft-spoken and shy, living in the shadow of his intimidating brother. The pressure of leadership only deepens his resentment toward Beomgyu, who now works under him. Yeonjun's treatment of his brother becomes harsher, pushing Beomgyu to the breaking point. But behind the walls Yeonjun built around himself, there's a part of him that can't help but notice Beomgyu's quiet resilience. Amidst misunderstandings, emotional confrontations, and hidden desires, the stepbrothers start to fall for each other, blurring the lines between resentment and love. Our end was never meant to be happy, was it?
Kazuha is taken to train and become a samurai from a young age. One day a new boy joins that looks nothing like a fighter, a perfect target for young bullies. The only one that doesn't judge by looks is Kazuha. They become close, almost inseparable. The vision hunt decree forces the boy to flee. When they reunite again, it's at the start of a war. And more than that, they are no longer young boys training together. They are a Fatui Harbinger and a samurai. Scaramouche has little time left to tell his story before the battle starts. He does not realise just how dear Kazuha is to him until it's too late.
