Danganronpa was ended for good. The survivors could finally be free and go back to their families. This should've been their happy ending. However, the world wasn't ready to welcome them back, immediately being met with backlash from both strangers and family. As if that weren't enough, the three got separated trying to piece their old lives back together. Broken, Shuichi was on the verge of making a terrible decision before suddenly being whisked away to a fantasy world. A world where all his friends were alive. But not even this could be his happy ending, as the world was run by violence and madness. He must either fight for his life to return home or become one with the crazy world.
This is a rewrite! The original was based a lot on the manga "Alice in the Country of Hearts" but I have changed a lot of things! Only the basic premise is still being used. The rest is a whole new story.

Shuichi -when he is a kid- lives with his parents and his uncle in Japan before they had to move to America, where he left his only childhood friend, Kokichi. Years had passed, and ever since he had moved overseas, Kokichi had made some new friends: Maki and Himiko. Their first high school year only started for them, but the murderous group that was once in America named 'The Despairs' had travelled to Japan, and was followed them was none other than the young detectives Shuichi with his non-biological sibling Tsumugi. They both enrolled in the same high school as Kokichi and his friends and things happened. Now how will this go as Shuichi and Kokichi solve things out while Shuichi's on the road to getting the Despairs to justice? One in a killing game broken too many times with each motive, death and betrayal. But not destroyed, as those who died, awaken again into the outside world completely different than what they expected. All starting with the first victim, as one by one, they all awaken. One by one, they all had to face their reality and solve this mystery. One by one, they had to go through what they done, what they should do, how to move on. But a promise still lingers in the air. Will it be forgotten even though they were given a second chance? Or will they see it through no matter the obstacles and the mysteries? A VR Post AU which consists of 2 parts, behind the scenes and the post game. Behind the scenes- Waking up to the unknown after being killed is an impossible experience, but it happened anyway. So when it does, what does one do? Well... does it look like they are a goddamn expert? With missing memories and unsolved mysteries in their midst, with guilt and their shadows behind them, with them showing their lowest at times and having to go up from there... a road of surprises, fixing and moving on. Post game- The killing game might be over, but their troubles were not. Facing the outside world that changed drastically from their missing memories and through uncovering mysteries, they have to set foot forward together in facing the past, problems and many more.
