A Mini-Fic I wrote in celebration of Gavin Reed's birthday!
----
Detective Gavin Reed hasn't celebrated a birthday since his 21st, which he spent getting piss-drunk at some random bar - an activity he doesn't need a special occasion for anymore. Honestly, he doesn't give a shit about the day anymore. It's just the day that marks him getting one year older, one year closer to death. No big deal.
Nines, an RK900 model android and Gavin's partner, is deeply fascinated by human traditions. When he learns that Gavin doesn't like to celebrate his birthday, Nines takes it upon himself to change that. He's going to throw Gavin the best goddamn surprise party the world has ever seen.
 ----
Honestly pretty rushed, sorry if any characters seem OOC, I'm fighting for my life out here lmaooo
----

--- This story takes place after the events of the game, if everyone gets their good endings and Markus successfully leads a peaceful revolution. ---

I don't own any of the characters. Detroit: Become Human and all respective characters belong to PlayStation, Quantic Dream, and David Cage. (please don't sue me)

The android revolution failed, but Detroit is still reeling from the aftermath. One woman, Dr. Clara Hayes, has always been fascinated with androids, especially deviants. She's devoted herself to researching and understanding deviant psychology. One day, she is approached by Cyberlife, who stop her research and blackmail her into working for them instead, instructing her to find a solution to deviancy. To make sure she does her job properly, a special prototype is reactivated: the RK800, codenamed Connor, the android who killed the deviant leader and stopped the revolution. He's given the mission to watch her, protect her, gain her trust, and find out what she's hiding. Connor is intrigued by this enigmatic doctor, but she refuses to let him in. Tangled in a treacherous web where failure means death or worse, Clara and Connor navigate through the secrets and lies, each doing their best to complete their missions. Will he be able to break through her wall and find out what she's hiding, or will she resist and cause him to fail? Will they find the answers in time, or will deviants be wholly eliminated? Only time will tell. Highest Rankings: #1 in Detroitbecomehuman 4/30/24 #2 in Android 6/9/2025 ***This is a fanfiction for Detroit: Become Human. From Your Wires to Your Core

51 parts Complete Mature

Gavin Reed hates androids, or so he thought. As time passes he finds himself coming around to the new way of life, getting used to Connor and coming across an RK900 that's not so bad. When that android turns up unexpectedly and becomes both his partner and his belonging Reed finds himself tested more than ever. On top of that there's a string of destroyed android cases piling up on his desk, and he's making little progress by himself. The cases are clearly connected, but the lack of physical evidence is leaving him in an endless spiral. Is he really trying hard enough? Or are his old prejudices clouding his judgement? Maybe all he needs is a second pair of eyes, and a walking talking science lab, to help him out.
