Detective Gavin Reed hasn't celebrated a birthday since his 21st, which he spent getting piss-drunk at some random bar - an activity he doesn't need a special occasion for anymore. Honestly, he doesn't give a shit about the day anymore. It's just the day that marks him getting one year older, one year closer to death. No big deal. 
Nines, an RK900 model android and Gavin's partner, is deeply fascinated by human traditions. When he learns that Gavin doesn't like to celebrate his birthday, Nines takes it upon himself to change that. He's going to throw Gavin the best goddamn surprise party the world has ever seen.

Connor, a prototype for a detective android who managed to go deviant and form a friendship with an old police Lieutenant who drinks just a little too much was one of those androids who liked to believe he had a hand in the outcome of the Android Revolution. The rules were when the Deviant case was solved, Connor would return to Cyberlife, but now that androids were people he could stay in the police department- and you bet your ass he did. Everything was going smoothly for about a month or so until Connor and his best partner Hank are chasing after a serial killer and Connor gets injured on the job. Will Hank be able to finish the case without his partner there every step of the way? And an even bigger question: How will the Lieutenant handle Connors replacement - the RK900? Story length: 10,003 Words - This is based after the ending where everyone lives and they essentially get equal rights for androids - This is not Hank x Connor, it's more of a father/son relationship - Trigger Warnings: Cussing, drinking, bodies and typical crimescene environments, drugs, etc. - This is kinda a lazy fanfic- AKA I really love these characters and had a scene in my head, then formed a plot around it and did my best to make it interesting lol. - I made the cover in Desygner - Characters belong to the game Detroit: Become Human and the company that made it, Quantic Dream. I started by taking up a lot of the scenario and the dialogues of the game by intermingling a new character, then from "Jericho" I went into total improvisation in this version . I tried to make the universe understandable for people who haven't played the game. On the other hand be careful if you wanted to play it, you'll be completely spoiled if you read this ;) TW: violence/blood/main characters badly injured
