death's whispers

At first, she thought it would stop but it never did.

The ringing in her ears, the numbers counting down to nothing on people's head, the feeling of pain as she watches them go. Soon she becomes accustomed to it becoming nonchalant to death but can she remain nonchalant when those same numbers appear on her heart's dearest?
