I never knew a world before this. A world without Vampires, where everyone was free to choose their future.

I guess I did have it better. I mean, I did get to run around in the grass, see my family, and have a semblance of freedom. Unlike all the others, who were born into this and have never truly touched grass and have never met their parents.

The real pets. 

By law, I was a pet. But my spirt was as wild and free as ever. No one ever tamed me. Of course, they all tried, But the 'lessons' only pushed me fight harder, last longer, and prove to myself that I was no pet

And I never would.
