Duty Of The Past, Now, Or Future? Poem.
In the heart of the present, the echoes ring clear,
A call for justice, urgent and near.
Do we forge our fight in the fires of today,
Or cast our vision to a brighter ballet?
With every breath, a story unfolds,
Of dreams yet unspoken, of courage bold.
Shall we wield the weight of ancient decree,
Or carve out a path to what's yet to be?
Philosophers pondered on justice and right,
In temples of thought, through shadows and light.
Did they yearn for the past, or the future's embrace,
Seeking a balance, a moral space?
The prophets and sages, their wisdom runs deep,
In the roots of the past, our conscience to keep.
Yet is history the teacher worth more than the taught,
When progress demands we challenge each thought?
For the stories of old carry burdens and chains,
But they whisper of struggles, of losses and gains.
Do we rise for the now, for the voices unheard,
Or anchor our hopes in some distant word?
Each moment is woven, a tapestry fine,
Threads of tomorrow with yesterday's line.
In this intricate dance, what choice do we make?
To fight for the present, or future's grand stake?
So let us remember, as we journey ahead,
That justice is more than a script that is read.
It lives in our actions, in choices we sow,
In the stories we tell of the fight for the now.
Let history guide us, but don't let it bind,
For justice is fluid, not stone left behind.
In the heart of the moment, our duty is clear:
To stand for the present, to lend an ear.
