"But Eru had made Men, and they were given the gift of freedom; and they would have their own fate."

- The Silmarilion, Of the Rings of Power and the Third Age

Maya Sinclair returns to Moher, Ireland, seeking solace in a brief escape from the harrowings and stresses of medical school. But what begins as a peaceful reunion with an old friend takes a darker turn when a venture into the cliffs' hidden caves pulls her into another world - one shaped by ancient powers, in a land rife with strife and turmoil and inhabited by strange, strange beings. What was meant to be a short break becomes a fatal entanglement, as Maya finds herself trapped in a realm where survival means confronting forces far beyond her understanding.

The Other Ranger [ Lord Of The Rings x Silmarillion ] by Silmarilz1701
111 parts Complete
#1 in Tolkien, #1 in Silmarillion, #1 in Lord of the Rings, #1 in Elrohir, #1 in Dunedain First in LotR series, Fëanoriel Chronicles. Written in 2012. Awaiting rewrite. *** Miril has been raised by Halbarad of the dúnedain after her forebearers came from Arnor, and before that Numenor, and even before that from Beleriand. She and her family are destined for things she doesn't quite comprehend yet. Though a seasoned ranger already, having faced the trials of the North for nearly 40 years, things hardly get easier with age. But before she can step into her own story, she journeys with her best friends, the twin sons of Elrond, running errands leading up to the War of the Ring. Her love of battle and craving for revenge for a death in her past leads to a discovery coming to light that some thought should've been kept hidden. They also might point to the truth of her parentage. When she starts having strange dreams about a swan ship, an oathbreaker, and a shining jewel, things just get crazier. Elrohir/OC *** Internal timeline will stretch from beginning of Lord of the Rings into the Fourth Age post War of the Ring with flashbacks. Needs a rewrite and general editing since it's 6+ years old, but I still like the premise and it spawned many sequels so... Please bear that in mind. *** FOR LORE: -BOOK CANON, not movies -Some liberties taken with the Ban of the Valar. -Technically this is Ninth Walker, not Tenth Walker (a more canon compliant version).

43 parts Complete

A Story of love and adventure set in Tolkien's Middle Earth. She earned the love of his people. He earned a place in her heart. Anberenien is born into the royal line of the Dúnedain Rangers. For her parents, Lord Beren and his 'barren' wife Naerien, Anberenien is their longed for miracle child. But in truth she is not a mortal, but an Angelic Maia named Almárie. Akin to the wizards who walk Middle Earth under the guise of old men. However, Saruman, betrays her presence to Sauron, with whom she has a forgotten past. Will Anberenien remember her true self and her mission, or fall into the hands of the Dark Lord and his cruel servants? Book One in the House of Greenleaves series. Please note: My stories follow the Lord of the Rings book lore and chronology as much as possible.
