Charlotte Lockey. She's at a school with no bullies, but she's obviously at the bottom of the food chain. No friends, isolated, and is in love with her books.
Its becoming prom, and she doesn't want to go . Instead, she goes to Starbucks, and sees him.
Damien Hoffman. He's the quarterback of the football team. He's dating the stereo-type preppy head cheerleader to make his fellow football friends proud of him. The hour before prom, he finds his girlfriend cheating on him with his best friend. So, instead of going to prom solo, he decides to go have a nice coffee...Until he sees her.

"Aren't you supposed to be winning prom king right now? Aren't you supposed to be with Brittany?" I asked between chuckles.
"Well, I would be there..." He stood up, and walked over to my table,"But Brittany isn't all that jazz."
