"Jungkook, you really need to eat more," Taehyung murmurs to himself, his voice shaking a little. "I hate watching you always leave food on your plate. You'll never grow properly that way."
He picks up a piece of pancake and holds it up to the empty space in front of him, his hand trembling slightly.
"Here, take a bite," he says softly, as if Jungkook is actually there. "It's your favorite, isn't it? You always say you love pancakes."
Taehyung stays like that for a few moments, holding the pancake in the air, before lowering his hand. There's an emptiness in his eyes as he realizes that Jungkook isn't there, and that he's been talking to himself again.
He looks down at the other plate of pancakes, untouched and cold. He can feel his heart breaking all over again, knowing that Jungkook isn't there to eat with him.
"Come back soon, Kookie," Tae whispers, his voice barely audible. "I miss you so much."
