Mature
For Ellana Lavellan, Solas Harel is her boss and the man she's been crushing hard for the last four years. Alas, her daydreaming of one day crossing that unspoken professional line between them must remain in the realm of her fantasies, lest they ruin both their careers. Solas has reasons of his own to keep his distance from her, regardless of how many hours of sleep his personal assistant robs him and how many times he must school his face and avert his eyes from her.

A weekend in the Orlesian capital due to work will put their professional relationship to the test and will show Solas that no matter how hard he tries to control himself and all around him, some things are simply meant to happen and the outcome may just be what he needs to finally be happy.

What Comes After (Dragon Age: The Veilguard Solas x Lavellan)

4 parts Complete Mature

The world has done Solas a disservice, demanding so much from one man who has given up everything of himself to save a world that still demands and takes, and takes and takes and takes until he is left with nothing in the end but a shell of himself and a life full of regrets. "Why?" And yet, he still questions what Ellana Lavellan so freely gives. A (slightly) slower burn version of the Solavellan reunion at the end of Veilguard. A/N: My headcanon is that Lavellan knows (somewhat, the gist of it anyway) about his memories and the things he's done. It feels too much like a bait-and-switch to me if he only reveals it all after she's joined him in the Fade prison, and that she's been misled and lied to. That doesn't sit quite right with me for a happy Solavellan ending especially since she's basically pledged her entire life to him (of course, if it's a dysfunctional Solavellan ending then that works well!)
