Silent Conversations

With slow and quiet steps, he neared the rocking chair. Thinking that his wife just passed out while holding their daughter. But as soon es he stood in front of her, the monsters started to show him that all his previous suffering was nothing compared to this moment. In the chair sat Haley, her eyes red from crying. Her breast movement shoved that her breathing was anything but normal. The worst part was her arms. Her arms were empty, as was the crip beside her.

He tried to ask. He wanted to know. As he opened his mouth to get the words out Haley stood up. And then she said the words that would forever haunt him. Words that finally broke Aaron Hotchner. All the ugly things he survived growing up, all the moments he thought would be the darkest moments of his life. None of them compared to this sentence from his wife.

"I gave her away. It was a mistake we kept her. We both aren't ready for this. Don't ask me where she is, I'm never going to tell you."
