Hannah Ruby Garrett is the daughter of John Garrett and the infamous Ruby Garrett, who was gunned down in front of her daughter when Hannah was just 15, dying while trying to protect her.

Like her parents, Hannah is HYDRA-deep within S.H.I.E.L.D.-and, like her partner Grant Ward, she's been undercover for years. Hannah infiltrated the Rising Tide, allowing herself and fellow member Skye to be tracked by S.H.I.E.L.D. as part of a larger operation.

At 20, Hannah attended S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Academy, four years after first meeting Grant Ward. Both were raised by John Garrett and, though trained under HYDRA, their true loyalty has only ever been to Garrett-not the organization.
