The Commander Who Didn't Give a shit
This is a story about a game called "Goddess of Victory: NIKKE" highly recommend it. Tried it, and now it's my favourite game. So, I shall be hopping into it! The setting is as follows: *Ehem* post apocalyptic world, women turned into cyborgs, a single Commander tasked with saving humanity. It has everything you could ever hope to expect from such a story- Eeexcept. This one Commander, the one who's supposed to be the upstanding citizen who does no wrong, the infallible hero who snatches victory from the jaws of defeat?... He's really just a shit talking bastard named Zero... Ah and speaking of shits... He has absolutely none to give really... Aaand yet despite that all, he seems to be the only one that's been able to make any sort of headway against the enemy that's been fought for over a dam century. Gee. I wonder why? Perhaps it's because of the fact that he doesn't give a shit about anything that allows him to disregard all the social and political fluff of this world and... just treat his team like people. Now ain't that some shit?
Attacking Aggressively
The year is 2028, society is frustrating and competitive. Anyone who has a fair sum of money can buy an android with artificial pain receptors which they can punch, kick, burn, cut and strangle to their enjoyment. This is the story of one such android, PD-4001, built with an extraordinary density of pain receptors, who runs away from its owner's retreat in the swiss alps. Although PD-4001 only has one plan at the start; to travel as far as possible, it eventually meets up with a group of rescued androids, and together they go to live with the pacifist monks of the Lily Temple. Circumstances do however force them on an extended journey in which they discover human society, their own origin and purpose and existence itself. I wrote this novel back in 2018-2019 and revised it in 2020-2021, but it was first now that I realized I should post it online. I have been thinking about making a "remaster" with better plot, more likely language and more dynamical world building. So maybe that will happen.
