My name's Annie Cresta, sixteen-years of age, living in a fishery District. 
 
I've been reaped to fight to the death in an arena filled with muttations of some sort, unpredictable occurrences, where death lies waiting to take it's next victim, while being stranded along side with twenty-three other tributes, wanting the same thing I want. To survive.

 

To win means to outlast, to outsmart, and to kill the others.

Winning means twenty-three must die . . .

But winning has dire consequences . . .

The seventieth Annual Hunger Games have begun.
