Carter just wanted a normal senior year. I mean, sure he gets beaten up everyday, but it's for a good cause, so he says. 

He has straight A's and is way ahead of his class so there is nothing wrong with him ditching class. His teachers don't have a problem with it and neither does he. He works at a bakery shop everyday to pay rent for his apartment. He's a good hardworking kid. So why did his "normal" life become such a mess?

One word. Beautiful. 

Ever since Valian Kayde transferred to his school along with her gang of guys, he's been dragged around by them. And then his life gets out of wack. I mean, what is he supposed to do when a gang leader's daughter drags you around in her schemes and threatens to kill random people if you don't? Being the good kid he is, Carter reluctantly agrees.
