He can see that her skin is clammy and there are bruises under her eyes, the eyes that are amber, golden-brown as well as smoky topaz, but that doesn't dim her smile as she gazes upon the person in her arms. This timeline is not the same as the shows/books, but the storyline still stays the same (mostly). Claire gave birth to Faith before they left for France and when they return home to Lallybroch, she is 4. They restart their lives at Lallybroch and they find the happiness they have always been looking for, but spring comes, and so does news of Jamie being a Jacobite.
