A moment in history changed everything for everyone - and some think for the far worse. Ever since intergalatic contact was made with The Hans, the world has errupted into chaos and disarray. The country Scarlett was once part of has disbanded and turned into The Dominion; a land 'free' from foreign interference and governed by the commanding leader Thelonious. Policies and procedures were annexed without second thought and consideration as a new rule and era came into play of The Dominion. Scarlett just completed her mandatory schooling, after suffering severe abusive behavior from her classmates, but things only grow worse before they can get better. She begins her new journey into the world of The Dominion chained back by historical diplomacy and tragedy plagued by her lineage. Will she break free from her namesake or fall prey to another downfall? The world she's questioned since youth starts to appear with far more cracks than she's ever imagined and it is up to her to find the truth in the rumblings of deceptive truths.

(This novel is under revision as of 2-5-19 up until I feel the true motivation to scrub through most of my older work. Also this summary is something to be fixed but until then) A thousand years ago the extermination of Earth from unknown circumstances brought about the end of humanity for the planet. The end of animals, most of nature, technology and everything that advanced in between. After Earth's destruction a new life began with the survivors of the near extinction of humanity. They constructed a singular civilization encased in a wall for protection from outside forces, built on the hope to reproduce and thrive with the life they were forced into. Zykard would be the start of a second life for humans But within that time of rebirth some of the survivors surged with horrors of Pre-Reearth. Heresy, treachery, riots, thefts, murders and revolutions. A need to for order was introduced, and brought about the leader of Zykard and seven factions of ten people. A thousand years later theres a change. An outsider appears and seemingly becomes the new leader of Zykard, bringing more hardships with their hopes. Crimson, a seventeen year old girl faces the verge of adulthood. The final trials being the only gap between her new reality. A new injection to be given to everyone after the trials. She will face the ugly second face of what Zykard really is behind the curtains. Face pain she never thought would be possible and lose what she loves the most. Girls and boys are given necklaces at birth, to indicate whom they're meant to be with when they are around the age to marry. The necklaces grow warmer and warmer as the one whom they're meant to be with comes closer to where they are, and grows colder as they are farther away. Feralie York had received a purple heart necklace when she was born, and had lived with it for years, without having the slightest bit of warmth. In the beginning, there was nothing. Just a vast void of nothing. All consuming darkness. And then there was cold. Ice. The ice spread from the core of the earth to everything until the world was formed. And then there was heat. For a while there was war between heat and ice. They fought for dominion over the world. Ice was the first and believed it was to be in charge. Heat supported more life and believed it should be allowed to rule. Eventually, when both almost destroyed the world Ice had created, they decided to merge and rule together, to release both their powers over the world and create life. They did that and then they went to sleep, dormant in the village of Azarath, the village where the first witches were born. The village where it all began. ******************** "What am I? I'm not human as we all thought, that's for sure. I'm not a witch, I can't cast a spell to save my life! I'm not a vampire as the absence of the speed and fangs indicate.
