Lando carefully lifted his arm from her back and pressed his palm back to the side of her face. His smile was weak, barely a curl of his lips. "I want you too."

"But I also want the sport," Christina mumbled against his hand and nuzzled her cheek into his warm touch.

Lando huffed and replied almost sheepishly, "I want the sport too."

Six months after her racing career ended, Christina finds herself living in her old bedroom in the suburbs of New York City without using social media, barely accepting calls and spending more time than ever with her family.

But six months are a long time and her heart beats for the Mediterranean Sea right outside of Monaco, the scorching hot noon sun and her friends who have been trying to reach out to her almost everyday.

When she eventually decides to return, much to her father's disapproval, she stumbles straight back into the shards of her old life and old love where her heated rivalry with Lando awaits her, only a spark away from rekindling into a wildfire.
