On August 25th, 2010, an extraordinary and unimaginable event unfolded. 30-year-old Angela Wilson never imagined that she would be forcibly separated from her two daughters and husband, and she was uncertain of when she would be reunited with them. She escaped with her 1-year-old son, Alma, and sought refuge in a secluded cabin nestled deep in the woods on the outskirts of Atlanta. The dense forest provided a sense of seclusion and safety, shielding them from the chaos and uncertainty that had engulfed their lives.

After months of surviving alone in the wilderness, she eventually comes across a young girl who appears frightened, covered in dirt, and bearing signs of being injured from her time in the woods. Will she take the girl back to her mother or care for the little girl?
