I Am Me
Amelia Wright has a story like no other. Her father leaving at at a young age. Amelia's world, and what she calls home isn't perfect but she has music to make things better. She is constantly picked on and tries to ignore but it always gets to her. She loses more and more of her confidence but she had music by her side and to block out the world when she can't take anymore of it. Amelia has a dream to be a songwriter but she can't get everyone's opinion out of her mind for a second; that she begins to decide maybe her dream isn't worth it. Will Amelia learn that hurtful comments, rudeness, insults are not to be accepted but acted upon? And will Amelia learn to change her sadness into hope and possibly fulfill her dreams with these feelings of hope and happiness regardless of what anyone thinks?Complete

Thomas should live in a time and age where people don't care about sexuality or gender identification but that isn't true as his mother refuses to think of him as anything other than her son and Thomas. To the people important in his life, Thomas is actually Ginger and a female. She's almost done with high school and ready to get out from under her oppressive mother's thumb and live the rest of her life how she wants to. This is a story I wrote for creative writing class. I wasn't intending to publish it so I didn't think much about the title. I did take the original title of A Glass Slipper by Jackson Terrance. I really loved this title and I was sad when they changed it.Complete

Amelia realized that knowledge would be her greatest weapon in changing the poverty that struck her family for generations. Amelia's journey was fraught with obstacles and setbacks. She drew strength from her experiences, the struggles she witnessed, and the unwavering support of a few trusted friends who shared her vision for a better future. Through her tenacity and a burning desire for a better future, Amelia became a doctor. She re-located back to her home town where she discovered horrifying information and knew that revealing the truth would not only bring justice to her own family but also shine a light on the systemic issues that perpetuated poverty in her town.
