Jason Todd doesn't have many friends. He's a very closed-off person, and has been that way since he died. But he wasn't always that way, and when Jason runs into an old friend from his childhood, he didn't expect for them to hit it off so well. A little too well, to be honest. Jason has his secret identity to worry about, and the last thing he wants is for Rusty to get caught up in anything dangerous.

But Rusty has his own secrets to protect, a life he's running from that he doesn't want Jason to have any part of. They've both changed so much since they were kids, and neither are sure how to move forward with the new relationship trying to bud despite all the secrets between them.

When things take a turn for the worst, and they both get tangled up together in a mess of crime lords, drug rings, cultish churches, and hunters, how far are they willing to go to protect each other? Can they accept each other's differences and work together to get out of the hole they dug themselves into, or are they fated to be buried alive?

"now, when we kiss, i have anger issues" OLIVIA MURPHY needs a fresh start. With her father in prison for a crime he claims he didn't commit and everyone at her old station acting like she aided and abetted, Liv can think of nothing better than getting the hell out of Philadelphia, and Los Angeles is calling her name. She's paired with an LAPD legend, Sergeant Athena Grant, a no-nonsense field sergeant who has only ever had one partner before and isn't happy to gain a mouthy twenty-eight year old as her next. She's sure Athena hates her and will do anything to get her out of her hair, even setting her up with a vulnerable widower in her new husband's firefighting station. The last thing Liv wants in L.A. is a new boyfriend to inevitably let her down, but damn, he's got a great ass- and what's a little bit of fun? EDDIE DIAZ needs a fresher start. Only a few months after his soon-to-be ex-wife's death and his family is still reeling. Eddie and Shannon were a thing of the past; they had reconciled any bad feelings and realized their love for each other was platonic years ago, and even though he didn't love her like he thought he did, his son still lost her mother. He isn't looking to date anyone- but Athena's new partner makes his heart race, and he needs a new outlet. When a tsunami and a lost son sets their paths on a collision course, Liv and Eddie find themselves asking- how casual can they really be? s3-s5 : eddie diaz x fem!oc s5-s8: buddie x fem!oc fox/abc's 9-1-1

Kanda Kyoichi transmigrated to Konoha and became a temporary instructor at the Ninja Academy. Fortunately, he awakened the Mentor System. By teaching others, he could earn rewards. Thus began Kyoichi's career as a "teacher" in the ninja world. Shisui: "Sensei's unique interpretation of the Will of Fire has given the Uchiha Clan a true sense of direction!" Asuma: "The essence of the jade lies in protecting the people, with the advanced leading the way for the less experienced. Only then can Konoha become stronger!" Kakashi: "He's my life mentor. He transformed Konoha!" ... Years later, in the memoirs of Kyoichi, now the Hokage, he wrote: "I honestly just wanted to be a life mentor!"
