A w|w high school and college romance story. Harper and Riley have known each other their whole lives, but for some reason they were never friends. Every moment and memory, the other was always there in the background. When high school came around Harper moved away. At senior year soccer tryouts, Harper was the last person Riley would have expected to come strolling in. Now not only do they have to navigate senior year, new friendships, but also their secret feelings for each other. What happens when the two girls get recruited for college soccer teams at opposite sides of the country and it starts to come between them? They both have to make difficult decisions about their past and college, both of which could threaten their blooming relationship. When commitment day rolls around, will Riley still choose her dream school? Or have her dreams changed? And yes this story mentions the Taylor Swift song "Invisible String", hence the story title.
