From playing each other in college to being teammates on the same WNBA team Nika's always held a grudge against Sydney after she became overly popular around the United States and with popularity came entitlement and Sydney was full of that.

On the other hand Sydney hated how Nika was after some choice words were said in the NCAA tournament between the two. Something along the lines of Nika telling Sydney to be less cocky and fix herself almost resulting into a fight between the two.
