Valerie Venezuela - She is an introverted homebody who struggles to keep her average high. On the first day back at school, a new student shows up. Something about him seems familiar yet she can't figure out what it was. As Valerie continues her high school journey to graduation she is met with multiple obstacles. Passing her classes becomes harder each day and she begins giving up.
As she daydreamed in her Calculus class, she suddenly got called to the office. When she gets there, the principal tells her that she has been signed up for a private tutor. The doors swing open and she discovers that the new kid is the one tutoring her. Would he be the one to save her from her downfall?
Theo Ortizo- He is the golden boy of every school he goes to. When he completes his 11th year in high school, his parents decide to move back to L.A for a promotion. Mixed feelings circled his mind as he loved the area of his hometown but was also very attached to his football team. After many days going back and forth, he decides to transfer due to some personal reasoning.
When he arrives he is immediately greeted by many friendly faces, but only one catches his eye. At the back of the class sat a girl with black hair and headphones on. As if she sensed him, she turned her head and they made eye contact. As Theo organizes his locker, the principal comes up and asks for a favour to tutor a struggling student in his class for the year. In return, he would get a guaranteed spot on the school's football team as well as a team captain spot so he agreed.
Theo opens the door to the office and sees a flash of black curly hair. The girl turned and it was the one in his first class. Will Theo succeed in helping her out? Or will fate turn them to a different direction?

"That was weird, but I can't stop my heart beating ten times faster than it should be. Laying down on the bed I face away from the bathroom door not wanting him to look at me. I pull the white cover up to my nose and look at the wall. I hear the bathroom door open and footsteps reach closer to the bed. The covers are being moved behind me as Mateo gets ready to sleep. I reach up to turn off the lap on my nightstand, and when I do we're left in the dark abyss of my room. Mateo's arm wraps itself around my waist and pulls me back into his hard chest. He gently lifts my head up and puts it back down onto his bicep. I take in a shaky breath and close my eyes deciding it is best to just sleep. Feeling his breath on the crown of my head, I'm more relaxed than I was before and start feeling sleepier by the second. But before sleep overtakes my mind. I hear Mateo mutter something.
