Regulus "Reggie" Nova Diaz was a 5'2 16 year old Puerto Rican-Italian who moved to Angel Grove in California with her father Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz after her mother Lucia Black died. Lucia was abusive towards Reggie because she has autism and ADHD along with type one diabetes due to Lucia having it. Reggie is a ballerina, violinist and pianist, bookworm, silent and kind to everyone. When she meets five people who become her close friends that is when everything changes for them.
