Starting college is intimidating for almost everyone. But for Jiov and his friends – it's a whole different level of intimidation. Follow Jiov as he starts school at Chiral College. He tries to get used to college life and college classes. While doing a project for one of his classes, Jiov makes a few friends. However, things quickly take a turn for the unexpected when he and his friends unwittingly uncover the darkest secret of their new school! Before they know it, they get thrown into the middle of a 30-year war between supernatural monsters, and a clandestine group of students.
Here's a snippet from The Forest: The Beginning, the first book in the series I'm currently writing. The story follows the main character as he adjusts to college life. He makes three new friends, but they end up getting swallowed up by an evil place full of supernatural monsters.

Magic is a part of everyday life in the Kingdom of Fiore. As such, life has become much easier for everyone. Of course, some devote their lives to magic and creating magical guilds all over the land. With these beasts roaming around, the evil minds of certain individuals sought to speak out their power and make it their own. As such, they manage to capture one and begin their brutal experiments on children that were kidnapped. Just as they were making progress, an accident occurred causing a massive explosion destroying the building, and killing everyone inside. Just as it appears no one survived, the experiments were the only ones that survived. Now free, they dispersed throughout the land acting like the animals that they were given. One of the children who was the main subject for obtaining Zinogre's powers fled for his life not wanting to be captured ever again. The master of Fairy Tail, Makarov, was returning from a Guild Meeting when he ran into the boy.
