Book One of the Lorem Chronicles. In a future time, when man has left the Mother World and ventured out into the stars, civil war rages between two factions: the Federation of Interplanetary Security, the current government in power under the direction of President Robert Nero; and the Alliance of Free Worlds, the rebel group determined to overthrow them. It is during this tumultuous time that two teenagers are brought from their home world - one by force of a system-wide draft, the other by choice - and are separated by a series of events that will change their lives forever. They alone will determine their fates as each struggles to survive in their group, one in the Federation army, the other among Alliance ranks. Caught in the crossfire of a war between worlds, they have to choose whether they will fight for their side or stay true to their friendship.

Ami: "We may be in different worlds, but we share the same moon and stars." This is a sci-fi love story, dedicated to those people who had to depart... Can you still see the stars in the city's sky? Have you ever imagined that your imagination could transcend what meets the eye? Slowly soaring towards the outer reaches of the solar system, you will encounter Mars first, followed by the asteroid belt teeming with activity, and then the radiant Jupiter and the ringed Saturn. Continuing further, there's Uranus, and beyond Uranus lies the deep blue Neptune, followed by the Kuiper Belt. Farther still is the Oort Cloud, a journey that takes at least 20,000 years... This is a pilot's logbook from the era of interstellar exploration. During that time, fusion technology has become practical, and humanity has embarked on voyages into the frigid expanses of the outer solar system, exploring the Kuiper Belt. Earth remains a stage for political and economic struggles, while the explorers are busy bees of that era, pioneers venturing into various planetary belts, far removed from human civilization. This story encompasses love, longing, psychological descriptions, speculation, as well as themes of loneliness, social anxiety, and PTSD. If you're a tech enthusiast, you'll find foundational elements of interstellar travel here: astronomical units, speed and time, the asteroid belt, Kirkwood gaps, Trojan groups, the Kuiper Belt, Lagrange points, orbital resonance, gravity assist, centrifugal force, the structure and construction materials of interstellar space stations, fusion engines, magnetic confinement, propellant propulsion, and other technological concepts.

***Book 1 of the Soulmates Series*** In the middle of an intergalactic war for freedom and rights, there exists a distant technologically militant planet called Gav'yx, where next to becoming a soldier, finding your soulmate is everything. So much, that the first thing all Gav'yxians see upon their birth, is the image of their future soulmate on the exact day and in the exact place they're destined to meet them. However, on a futuristic earth - now called Uniterra - the idea of finding one's soulmate is a belief held by very few. Especially when it comes to seventeen-year-old Lane Nishimura, a pessimistic student in the extremely competitive space training program at Unity High, struggling with keeping the secrets of his very mysterious and dark past, his mental health, self-esteem, and slew of trust issues caused by years of failed friendships, bullying, and sub-par romances that's left him all but giving up on the idea of there ever being someone out there destined for him. And then along comes Zuuro; a lovestruck alien from the planet Gav'yx, who's long dreamed of the day he'd finally meet Lane, and of getting what would surely be his happily ever after. However, as he soon discovers, finding romance with Lane is not as easy as he assumed. Because not only does Lane not know he and Zuuro are destined to be together, but due to almost losing everything in his last breakup, and to what he's sure is just another trick being played on him by his half-brother, Darin, he's extremely reluctant to open himself up and risk getting close to anyone again. Will Lane allow love to prevail, or will his mistrust and the secrets of his past doom them before it's even had a chance? Find out, in The Foreigner & The Pessimist, the first installment in the all new Soulmates series.
