Beautiful Lies

"What are you hiding?" I asked him, trying to figure out the truth that had been buried under a blanket of deception .

"Something that will tear you to shreds," he said grimacing, "Maybe that will finally get rid of you."

The torment made the pit of my stomach churn. "I'm not scared of you," I said managing to keep my voice from quivering with fear, "Look, you're an amazing person, but you put up a front and act like you have some kind secret that's going to break me even more,"

A deep chuckle rumbled from his sweet lips as a smirk grew on his face. He took my face in his hand as he peered into my eyes with pure desire and anger.

"Trust me, it will. When something's this beautiful on the outside, just imagine how ugly it has to be inside."
