❝ Why did he do this Lucas? I don't understand❞ Harmony's sobs, knees weak, and legs feeling like jelly; a gust of wind could have knocked her over from her hard grief.

Lucas kneels and pulls her smaller body against his warm strong chest. He pressed his lips against her forehead and whispered sweet nothing in her ear.

There was nothing but silence around them, the only thing the two could hear was wing in the far distance.

The taller male pulls back to shower her with kisses, and finally, he speaks up. ❝ shhhh, everything will be okay Harmony. I got you, we'll get him. He knew what he was doing when he kidnapped you and ruined your life. For right now don't worry about that, just relax and let me take care of you. I'm here and not going anywhere. Trust me, let me be your shoulder to cry on❞.

Harmony's eyes glistened with tears as her body felt mushy, and her legs nearly gave out. If it wasn't for her boyfriend in front of her then she would have been lying completely on the floor.
