In every continuity Optimus Prime gets the Matrix of Leadership at some point... so why not give it to our Transformers Animated Optimus Prime?
During the War, maybe even long before it and Autobots victory followed by decepticons banishment, the true meaning of a Prime gets lost and becomes a military rank. The Matrix becomes a myth that is even more unlikely to be true than the existence of the All-spark.
While fighting with Megatron in space, The Warlord manages to drag our beloved leader down with him, but Primus sees the potential in Optimus. The creator of Cybertronian race decides to give the Matrix of Leadership through the All-spark to Optimus Prime. Both leaders crash down without the knowledge of what has occured.
Young Professor Sumdac finds our fighters and uses them to start a technology revolution in Detroit. While our repair crew mourns the loss of their leader, now with the All-spark to protect, they have to stand against difficulties alone.
Later Optimus now with the slowly accessed knowledge of the Primes has to work with Megatron to return to his team, uncover some secrets and end the conflict for good.
(Yep another story in making! I always liked Tfa Optimus Prime! First Transformers fic. Hope yall will enjoy!)
(I know that Optimus got the matrix in the end, but didn't have it inside his chest like other continuities. This fic simply is an au that Optimus directly gets the Matrix early on.)

When All Lights Go Out II (TFP)
**Second Book in Series** Several weeks from the incident that nearly lost his one and only daughter, Optimus Prime now carries within him the very sparkling who he once thought was lost a long time ago. A procedure that is meant to save her life, though he is learning to endure what many mechs and femmes go through while carrying. However, he has zero regrets. After all, his love for his daughter runs deep, and he will protect her at all costs. However, Megatron has not forgotten her either. Knowing now who she is related to, a part of him wants her among the decepticons because of her power. But also a part of him wants to get to know her. A decision he made years ago, believing he would never care for any of the new sparks he had created at the time, now has come to realize that he wants to know her. But that does not stop his war against the autobots. Which Optimus, unfortunately, would come to learn. But it is not just Megatron who seeks out this sparkling. Eyes linger on the autobot leader after his assistance with aiding a decepticon, and their keen interest in the sparkling leads to danger to both Optimus and his sparkling. To the point where her life literally hangs by a thread again. And, someone beneath the surface of the planet, plans vengeance against those who banished him. Including against a young dragon who is only related by energon.

The Autobots are outnumbered and outgunned; even more so after the lose of Cliffjumper. Despite all the support there human allies give and the wins the autobots manage to secure, there numbers are always an issue that is over the autobots heads. Fortunately Primus has seen the autobots struggles especially there latest troubles with Ratchet, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee recovering from a trap full of a swarm of scraplets. and Optimus and Arcee are recovering from a near death trip to the Arctic. When the children left to go home, the autobots picked up a emergency signal from an unknown source. Unable to ignore this, and the only bots that can walk Optimus and Arcee go to investigate. When they get to the scene they find an escape pod that was transmitting the signal. But they get ambushed by the decepticons, due to still not being fully defrosted from there trip to the Arctic, Optimus and Arcee struggle severally. As it seems that the bots are going to be captured. A bot arrives on the scene to lend his weapons and aid taking out the cons with ease. After there savior finished off the decepticons, Arcee finally got a good look at who the bot was; and to her surprise its someone who she hasn't seen in a long time. Find out who there rescuer by reading my first Transformers fanfic. A/N: I try to keep my Prime fanfics to go along with the TF Prime cannon as much as possible. For example, no decepticon deaths to early, or outright big changes. And if there is said big change I try to make a loophole to try and keep following cannon.
One Small Mistake
This story is based in between Transformers Prime {This story is getting rewritten so ignore any typo or misspelling in here.} Everything in the world is at peace. No unicron, no Predicons, no Megatron. For the time being but that's not to say he's not working on doing something soon. A ancient creature from past time life on Cybertron has appeared that Megatron had wanted control over and still wants control but lays low to take this creature. This creature has been seen before and cause a riff of problems from team Prime and one bot on the team in particular. Can this bot protect his gift and this creature while protecting everyone else and his love without a repeat with the past?
