Vincent Banaszynski doesn't understand why Vanessa Topaz has suddenly averted all her attention to him. Until now it's always seemed like she's only been interested in his best friend Lefu, if you can call him a best friend, but now she seems to be putting all her efforts into catching his eye.
Vanessa loves pranking Lefu and Vincent with her friends, but really she loves Lefu himself. Realising Lefu didn't feel the same way as her, she recently came up with a plan to grab his attention and make him jealous. Pretend it's Vincent that she loves. But as she concentrates all her energy on pretending to fall for Vincent, she starts to realise how much better he is than his friend and can't help noticing that she really IS falling for him... but will he ever be interested in her after he finds out that she's just been using him to get to Lefu?

Just for all of you who don't know each odd numbered chapter is written from Vanessa's perspective and each even from Vincent's, unless specifically mentioned otherwise.

Vincent Banaszynski, Lefu Maritz, Vanessa Topaz, Jasmine Marigold, Sapphire Moonstone, Rebecca Hazelnut, Karla Lupa and Scott Topaz aren't the most normal of all people.
