Summoning the United States

It's late August when, for no discernable reason, Russia launches an all-out nuclear attack on the United States. Before hellfire can rain upon America, however, a "great transference" occurs, whisking the contiguous United States, alongside Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, somewhere across the universe.

The stars are wrong, but the spirit of the United States marches on in an uncertain new world.
