He has seen their presenes in Asgards and fears that they will try to conqure Asgard while Thor is away leaving it weak. When Thor returns with Loki, most of Asgard is burned down and destroied. Odin tells Thor that they have been attacked and must move to the relm of seasons. Thor and Loki are shocked to find out that their mother and Hogun are dead and Sif is severly injured along with Hemdial. Odin Tells Thor in his dying words that he must form an army to save Asgard and mankind from destruction. Loki over hears this and starts to think. She said that she owed him a favor and Loki then realizes that if he asks for her to help him round up as many warriors as they can, they will sure be able to win.
