The prequel to KGB that can be read as a standalone, and a chapter 1 canon divergence featuring Rantaro, Kaede and Tsumugi. Their bonds run deeper than survivor, protagonist and mastermind... in another killing game that took place only in forgotten memory forced from people wanting to cover up and fix mistakes.
What if Rantaro turned his back on the shotput ball, to see Tsumugi's attempted murder and got hit on the head by a bookcase through graceless dodging?
What if Tsumugi missed Rantaro by inches and missed the chance, and missed the timing to get another hit, only to wrestle away the pad from Rantaro and play candidate?
What if Kaede went in first and foremost with the others to be met with an injured Rantaro who only uttered one, triggering word... a dead name, part of a forgotten memory:

Entertaining a Small Thought
Here's a small thought: What would you do if you lost all your memories? What would you do if after that, you were thrown in a death game with 16 other strangers? That's the situation Rin Wakuri finds himself in, if that even is his name. He wakes up in the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles with no memories at all to tell him why he's there or who he is. He isn't even sure he's an Ultimate, despite the others believing he is. But something is strange about this situation. It's almost like Rin wasn't suppose to be here at all, as Monokuma and the Monokubs don't seem to know who he is or why he's in the killing game. Even stranger, Rin seems to have information he shouldn't that seem to appear to him in random thoughts and visions. Is he insane? Or is there something that's giving him this knowledge? Is there a reason he knows this stuff? Rin doesn't know, but he's determined to do his best to help everyone in this killing game. He just hopes he doesn't die in the process. Shuichi -when he is a kid- lives with his parents and his uncle in Japan before they had to move to America, where he left his only childhood friend, Kokichi. Years had passed, and ever since he had moved overseas, Kokichi had made some new friends: Maki and Himiko. Their first high school year only started for them, but the murderous group that was once in America named 'The Despairs' had travelled to Japan, and was followed them was none other than the young detectives Shuichi with his non-biological sibling Tsumugi. They both enrolled in the same high school as Kokichi and his friends and things happened. Now how will this go as Shuichi and Kokichi solve things out while Shuichi's on the road to getting the Despairs to justice?
