Maintaining Sanity is a collection of pieces, stories, prose, and journal entries written in the last nine years. Each particular piece has its own state of mind and emotion.

A compilation of work that I have made within the last five years. Between open letters I'd never sent, journal entries, and poems I've always had. Different time periods, thoughts, concepts, and perspectives. Enjoy.

(**disclaimer**)

this is my first project on Wattpad. So, I am aware that some of the words are misplaced, misspelled, and it of context. Some of these pieces are very short and put all over the place. It is of my intention to have this project in it's most raw form.

Yes, they are scattered. Yes, some of the words are misspelled, and the grammer is very cringe worthy. Yes, I put real life situations in my real life. This is meant to be a clipbook of the memories I would love to share with you.

Also, big disclaimer:

If you read anything about you in these pieces, I beg of you; do not think of this as an insult or in any way disrespectful. Me even putting any alteration close to your given or nickname is me glorifying you in ways that either you never knew I have done or In a way that will Incase the relationships that we've established.

Words are sharper than knife they say. Yes it is true. Some perfectly moulded good words can both make and break a heart easily. A poem is a group of such perfectly moulded words given wings to fly. They fly through the mind and heart easily. A hobby is an activity we do to express ourselves, our beliefs and our thinking. For example through drawing, dancing, singing, etcetera. Writing a poem is one of such hobbies. Here words are used. These words and messages are far more twisted. A poem hits the mind, a good poem hits the heart. Thoughts Of A Juvenile is just a collection of my poems.I started writing poems when I was 8. I may not be a great writer. But yeah I write to express. There have been times for me like many other teenagers where I thought I was lost and helpless. There have been good times too. I'm standing on the edge of teenage now, telling you that you can survive this. You can survive everything. All you need is to find your strengths. There are sad nights and then there are mornings full of opportunities. Don't give up. I'm here and I'll always be here. Whenever you feel down just remind yourself "Be stupid". Go out in public and the eat the food you like alone, ask out your crush, flirt like there's no one watching, dance like a ghost has possessed your body, prank people, have a little chat with the nerds you know. Surviving is an art not many can master. Be a Master. There are mistakes in this book and I tried my best to correct them. But couldn't correct them all. I would really love to receive reviews and criticism. Vote if you like it. Comment your views. And follow for more poems. Add it to your reading list or library.

[COMPLETED] Indigo always had problems, but when her father committed murder-suicide against her mother, she had trouble keeping those problems under control. She had a fear of the world. Everyday actions were feats for her; going to high school, socializing, even falling asleep at night. Of course, her greedy aunt was no help. She felt hopeless. Until she met Nate. Nate had problems of his own. All his life he's had trouble staying focused. He wanted to believe he was normal, but it's hard to think that when you're brilliant in class and... not so brilliant on paper. He didn't want to have A.D.H.D. He tried to pretend he didn't, but there was something rooted deep inside him, telling him he wasn't good enough. He felt useless. Until he met Indigo. When Nate met Indigo, all he wanted to do was help, but could she reveal her secrets to him? Could two wrongs make a right? Quickly, Indigo and Nate developed a relationship that neither thought was possible for themselves to have. Could Nate help Indigo move on from her past and defeat her demons? Could Indigo help Nate accept himself for who he was and hopefully help him pass English? Originally a NaNoWriMo novel, The Way the World Ends revolves around two teens just trying to survive high school and hopefully understand themselves and the words of T.S. Eliot. *** warning: some sexual content, brief violence, language, and sensitive topics. A collection of poetry that has been written from me (and my constant battle with wrecking insanity). Some will make sense; some will leave you with a big ole' question mark; but, like myself, not everything can be precise and make definite sense. I will try my best to have new additions every week from my on-going-twisted-love-affair of writing poetry. For all the support and encouragements you all share with me - I do humbly appreciate all that you say and do. The feeling I get when another writer comments, or votes is imperial to how I interrupt that my work has some actual capabilities of reaching out and affecting someone's day or even their own life. So, please, if you like the poetry that I've consciously poured my heart, soul and thoughts out, please, leave a comment, or vote for how much this piece or any other of my poetry has helped. If it has given you hope, acknowledgement, or just an awareness that someone, like me, knows exactly what you can go through first hand, let me see how much it affects you. Even the 'poet' needs some love shown. :) Copyright © 2015-2017 By T. A. Hinson All Rights Reserved All rights reserved. "You're a spoiled, ungrateful brat." Asher snarled, turning around so suddenly that I nearly fell from the sheer momentum. His blue eyes blazed with an icy fire as they narrowed into slits. "Why are you so ignorant?" He took a large step towards me as his words rocketed around the room. I bit my trembling lip with all the strength in the world. No freaking way. Absolutely not. I refused to cry in front of him. "Can't you see that I care?" His tone so dangerously quiet, so very low. I pushed myself back further into the stony wall, hoping it would swallow me whole. "Is that not enough?" His eyes dropped to my lips, flickering back up as quickly as they had fallen. All I could see was him, all I could feel was him. He had captured every single one of my senses. And I hated it. He made me feel things that I sure as heck didn't deserve to feel. "To hell with the rest of them." He growled, "you're mine." ------- Ariella Gates is the daughter of one of the richest men in the world. As someone who is set to inherit billions, she's never had to lift a finger. Unfortunately, no one expected her 'beloved' daddy to die so soon. Thrown into a world of poverty, Asher Kent, a pessimistic yet handsome cleaner, reluctantly takes her under his wing. They say that opposites attract. Let's test that fictitious, romantical theory out. ----------------------- A bucketload of heart fluttering romance, a dash of tragedy and a hint of danger. INCLUDES SOME MENTION OF THE FOLLOWING TOPICS - violence, physical and emotional abuse, death, mental health and eating disorders. ----- A massive thanks to @june-writes for this amazing cover. Until one day, she bumps into the one guys whos is can be frequently found in her thoughts for the past year. Melanie has learned to keep her head down and emotions in so the sudden appearance of a man who wears his heart on his sleeve and is trying to pull hers out is a bit, well... a bit much. And she's got some secrets that almost no one knows and the journey to trusting someone is a long one. But I guess we'll see how it goes. TW: Mentions of rape, alcohol, drugs, language, sex/sexual references, and high school partying. I'd put no one under 18 but I'm under 18 so that be a bit hypocritical of me.
