A Rings of Power ~ Adar Fanfic.
In a world where light and darkness coil together like serpents on the edge of a knife, three hearts beat in an uneasy rhythm-one scarred by betrayal, one bound by ancient light, and the third, a healer lost in the ruins of her past, driven by vengeance.
Adar, a fallen elf twisted by the hands of fate, had once longed for nothing more than to be a father. But now, the orcs-the distorted echoes of his lost dream-are the only children he will ever know. His skin, now grey as the ash left in his wake, bears the scars of torment and betrayal. He feels responsible for the creatures born from his torment, his twisted children, and will stop at nothing to free them from Sauron's grip. But even the shadows have chains of their own, and redemption comes with a price.
By his side walks a healer, a woman haunted by the destruction of her people. With power locked deep within her, she craves vengeance yet finds herself bound to a journey that will test her very soul.
Their path leads to Eryndra, an ancient fae queen, bound to a sacred forest. Her luminous beauty hides a deeper, more dangerous intent, and she holds the key to everything Adar seeks. But her price may be more than any of them can pay.
As hearts clash and secrets unravel, the lines between duty, love, and betrayal blur. In the coming storm, only one truth remains: no one will emerge unscathed.
(LOTR - Haldir Fic) Aisling Hughes has her life figure out. She has a great job working with her cousins in their family-run hotel business in New York. And her friends in the small town of Oklahoma where she was born. Sure life has dealt her some pretty hard blows, but she's always thought herself strong and capable, willing to do what was needed to help her family and friends.
That was until a freak spring storm blows up, sending an unexpected (and rather large) tornado her way. When she wakes up, Aisling finds herself in a land she doesn't recognize, surrounded by people and creatures that shouldn't exist on the cusp of a war that she'll never survive, even with all her 21st century knowledge.
Feeling completely out of her element, Aisling must rely on the help of the ever serious and stoic Haldir, and the cryptic advice of Lady Galadriel, as they search for a wizard who can supposedly send her back home (or help her wake up - she's still not sure if this is all real). And then learns that perhaps it wasn't a journey to find her way home, but to find herself... and perhaps fall in love along the way...
