On April 4th, 2009, in Gotham City, a child named Takara Inoue was born to a Japanese father and a young woman who had no desire to raise him. Takara's father, gravely ill with cancer, named his son Takara before passing away, leaving the newborn's future uncertain.
Unfortunately a month before Takara's due date, the father died leaving the mother. When he was born she named the boy Takara.
Takara spent his childhood in an orphanage, where he faced bullying and isolation. By the age of 10, overwhelmed by loneliness, he ran away, choosing life on Gotham's streets. One day, he stepped in to defend Mariah Hayashi, an orange-haired girl targeted by bullies. Mariah was the daughter of Minato Hayashi, a prominent businessman who had recently moved to Gotham. Grateful for Takara's courage, Minato welcomed him into the family, raising him as his own son.
Takara and Mariah grew close, bonding over their shared love for anime and building a deep friendship that blossomed into love. Minato arranged for them to be engaged, and the two eagerly planned their future. However, during their senior year of high school, their lives were shattered. While out on a date, they received the devastating news of Minato's murder. As they hurried home, their car was involved in an accident, leaving them both unconscious.
That's when they meet the secret beings inside their minds. Their favorite characters from their favorite anime were there. And they trained together having their Powers and abilities. With these new abilities they have the goal of defeating the Court of owls.

She hated riding the subway.
It was cramped, smelled, and the seats were extremely uncomfortable to sit on for hours on end.
Now add a group of crazy mask-wearing, weapon-wielding, maniacs to the ever growing list of reasons why Gemma hated riding the subway.
Gemma Conners is your average eighteen year old and for the past two years she's been riding the subway to and from school with no problem. She always expected the same ol' same ol'. Cramped spaces, hard seats, and perverts staring her up and down and "accidentally" bumping into her and blaming it on the train as it jostled people into one another.
Never did she expect a group of masked men to rush in and hold everyone onboard hostage, demanding that they all play along with their sick and twisted idea of a "game".
It was either that or die.
To add on to her ever growing list of problems, one of the passengers onboard just so happens to be Archer Daniels, your typical high school "heartthrob" and Gemma's classmate. Her day just kept getting better and better.
With Gemma's luck, she'd be lucky if she lasted five minutes.
Yep. She really hated the subway.
