Annie never wanted to get caught up in anything out of the ordinary, she was fine living with her mother in their simple house with their simple yard and their simple little life. They lived in poverty but they had each other and that's all Annie really wanted and needed. So when the dreams first started she didn't take them lightly, she was tired of falling asleep every night and seeing boys she didn't know fighting with her against monsters she didn't want to know about.

Grey just wanted to survive high school. A self proclaimed starving artists, his sister has been putting him on medication ever since their parents died in the boat crash that changed his life, now he keeps his head down and his sketchbook in hand, always ready to escape to the real world and ignore the panic attacks which cause him to grab whatever he can reach to draw things that frighten himself and his sister.

Zane misses his parents, for years they denied the fact that he could talk to animals and by the time that every psychiatrist and counselor they could find told them that Zane was fine mentally they were at the end of their rope and tired of having an insane son. Trying to cover up his pain with music and sports he continues to trudge forward on his own.

But when the three of them bump into each other can then somehow manage to not only save the life of one very angry fay boy sentenced to death but also the world he lives in?
