When Eve walked in to her new daughter's nursery, she didn't expect to see a fairy exchanging her daughter for a changeling. She didn't expect her mix up which baby was which.
When they realized there was no way to discover which daughter was fae and which was mortal, Eve certainly didn't expect the fairy to stay.
