Shriveled Roses tells the story of 20-year-old Rose Mooney, who embarks on a journey of self-discovery after leaving her mother's home in Oakland, California, for a one-room apartment in the bright but gritty heart of Las Vegas, Nevada. As Rose navigates the complexities of adult life, she finds herself tangled in a web of romantic encounters that teach her invaluable lessons about love, trust, and heartbreak. Through a series of passionate yet tumultuous relationships, Rose confronts her own vulnerabilities and desires, discovering both the beauty and the thorns of intimacy. Each new connection reveals deeper truths about herself and the people around her, some enlightening and others disillusioning. As she learns to balance her dreams with reality, Rose must face the trials of independence, forging her path amid the shimmering illusions of the city. Shriveled Roses is a heartfelt exploration of the messy, often unpredictable journey of growing up, where every experience-good or bad-helps Rose bloom into the person she is meant to be.
